What is the date Jehovah witness have for the creation of 'Adam'. please do reply on my aramdahen@hotmail.com

I know that the bible used by the Jehovah witness differ considerably from other bibles, so my question is ' what is the date given for Adam', and also, what is the origin of the word ' jehovah' itself.

What is the date Jehovah witness have for the creation of 'Adam'. please do reply on my aramdahen@hotmail.com
Since Jehovah's Witnesses use any Bible that they or their students prefer, it is silly to pretend that the Witnesses rely on any particular translation of the Scriptures.

Jehovah鈥檚 Witnesses believe that Bible chronology seems to place Adam's creation about 6000 years before 1975. For decades, the Witnesses have noted that 1975 had no potential for theological significance unless Eve鈥檚 creation followed Adam鈥檚 by mere months. The date of Eve's creation is of much more theological significance because it represents the last act of the sixth creative "day" (the sixth day did NOT end at Adam's creation, which was earlier than Eve's by some unknown number of years, decades, or centuries).

.. ..(Genesis 2:2-3) And by the seventh day God came to the completion of his work that he had made, and he proceeded to rest on the seventh day from all his work that he had made. And God proceeded to bless the seventh day and make it sacred, because on it he has been resting from all his work that God has created

The proper and personal name of Almighty God is:

讬讛讜讛

The four Hebrew characters are generally transliterated as "YHWH" (that is, each Hebrew character is directly replaced by a different character with the same sound in another language's character set). Likely, the ancient Hebrews pronounced " 讬讛讜讛 " or "YHWH" as "Yehowah".

It is true that the Almighty did not say, "Listen, thousands of years from now when a new language called English comes along, they can pronounce my name as 'Jehovah' and that's fine." Instead, like with any and every personal name, different languages TRANSLATE personal names to fit their lingual tendencies. George becomes "Hor-hey" in Spanish or "Gay-org" in German and no one gets upset.

The name "Jehovah" was not fabricated "from whole cloth" (as it were). As speakers of English find it easier to say "Jesus" than "Yeheshua", so "Jehovah" seems to have originated as an honest attempt to pronounce "the Tetragrammaton". The King James Version uses the name "Jehovah" four times (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4). A few place-names which include "Jehovah" are also left intact (see Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24). The shortened form of "Jehovah" is "Jah". KJV uses "Jah" at Psalm 68:4, and within the exclamation "Hallelu-jah" (or "Alleluia"), which literally means "praise Jah" (see Revelation 19:1-6).
Reply:Approximately 4026 BCE - although no one can be 100% sure and as Jadore said. No one knows how long Adam lived before Eve was created and neither do we know how long Adam and Eve lived together before the 6th creative day ended. In other words if you are trying to figure out when the end of the world would come based on Adam's creation, Adam's creation is not the key. We would need to know exactly when the 6th creative day ended and even then we would have to wonder if there are other things that need to be considered.

It has been reasoned that shortly after Eve was created, Adam and Eve would begin procreating not only in response to the command to multiply and fill the earth but also because it would be natural for two beautiful perfect humans to start having sex really soon. I don't think it is wise for us to make a judgment based on how we feel today. Does it seem reasonable that Eve was ready to be a mother when she was only a few weeks or months old? I don't think so... It is also possible that God somehow saw to it that Eve was unable to conceive until after the 6th creative day ended; since the multiplying and filling the earth was something that was meant to happen during the 7th day.
Reply:It is my understanding that 1975 marked 6,000 years from the creation of Adam. So work backwards from there to get your answer.

Jehovah comes from YHWH. No one knows for sure the correct vowels, so this is the closest English translation of those 4 consonants.
Reply:I would forget dates with the Witnesses. I think they've predicted the date of the end of the world about 50 times and those dates have come and gone. I would not let the Jehovah's Witnesses pick my lottery numbers.
Reply:Stop arguing with the JW's and read YOUR bible.

Reply:We have no specified Date, none is listed in the Bible. It was roughly 6,000 years ago.
