My default browser is Firefox but IE still pops up when I use Hotmail?

When I go to my Inbox vis MSN messenger, I want the browser to be Firefox, not IE7. How do I do it? I have clicked all the button to disable access to IE7 and it still doesnt work. Why not?

This happens bcoz MSN and IE are owned my mircrosoft and Firefox is a rival of it (Browser only).


So microsoft does not allows other browser to open the inbox via msn.

Reply:I'd think twice before you remove IE from your system. Remember, all browsers read webpages differently. There are some features of the internet that are not supported other then by IE. I use Firefox mostly but there are some sites that I have to use IE for. You said hotmail...that's a freaking Microsoft product! No wonder. There are some settings that you need to take note of. I have no trouble using Firefox to check crapmail. OH sorry.......I mean, hotmail. The problems is going via messenger...You have to open firefox-----type hotmail.com in browser------log in just as you would to hotmail.com You should have no trouble with that what so ever! It's only because you are using two Microsoft products ....of course it's going to throw more at you. I sure hope this helps you out. Reply:Just remove your IE7 from your computer. Go to control panel, then click on add or remove programs then click on add/remove window componentand untick the IE
