Hello, there's a virus or something that makes me appear to be online (hotmail) and offers my contacts sex ?
this happened to me once and all i needed to do was change my msn password,
it can happen when somebody on your buddy list send you a link without them knowing about it

It covers all of the tools you may need to get rid of spyware, adware, malware (and viruses/trojans). It also importantly explains the best approach to do so, e.g. when/how to use Safe Mode, to turn off System Restore so the infection is not restored. The guide also explains advance steps such as creating a bootable "live" CD so your Windows files are not locked and infections can be removed as well as how to slave your hard drive so the OS isn't running.

Reply:1. Make sure your anti-virus software has the latest definitions installed and do a full system scan once you have done this. AVG is free for 30 days and has full functionality for that time.
2. Install Spybot Search and Destroy. Run it and this should hopefully root out the stuff that is causing the problem.
3. Run regular antivirus and spyware scans on your PC using these programs to remove any infections before they become a problem, but remember that you need to update them as well!
4. Use a firewall program and/or make sure that your network connection has its built-in firewall enabled.
